The CARMEN®ACCR software is based on OCR technology which was developed to read ISO 6346 codes. ISO 6346 is an international standard for assigning unique codes to freight containers, commonly known as BIC codes. Due to the successful development the software is able to recognize UIC codes as well.

How does the CARMEN®ACCR work?

· The camera(s) takes images of the detected container (may be several images from multiple cameras capturing different sides of the container).
· CARMEN®locates the container code on all images and and reads them using character recognition technology
· The recognition results of all images are compared and evaluated to build the most appropriate result
· The images and relevant data are forwarded then to the system responsible for data storage and further processing

Optional hardware:
· FXCAM CONTAINER 3-IN-1 Camera can be equipped with special and synchronized white LED illuminator(s) specially developed for container reading, identification.

The CARMEN®ACCR package contains

· Automatic Container Code Recognition engine
· FXVD4mc_s grabber card (or a PCI/USB 2.0 port based hardware key)
· Functions library (for C++, VB.NET, C#)
· Demo and test applications
· Tutorial and sample programs both in executable and source code

The system can be used on any existing PC system running under Windows or Linux.

The CARMEN®ACCR software is protected by Hardware key. Without the hardware key (Neural Network Controller) the software will not do any recognition.
